It is famous for its Mughal architecture and for being home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal – a monument of incredible elegance and architectural perfection.

The Qutb Minar, also spelled Qutub Minar and Qutab Minar, is a tower and “victory tower” that forms part of the Qutb complex, which lies at the site of Delhi’s oldest inspired city, Lal Kot, founded by the Tomar Rajputs. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the Mehrauli area of South Delhi, India. The tower was built to celebrate Muslim dominance in Delhi after the defeat of Delhi’s last Hindu ruler. This tower is the highest tower in India, complete with five storeys and projecting balconies. The first three storeys of the Qutub Minar are made of red sandstone and the last two are made of marble and sandstone.
The India Gate is a war memorial located near the Rajpath on the eastern edge of the “Ceremonial Axis” of New Delhi, formerly called duty path. It honors the 70,000 Indian soldiers who lost their lives fighting for the British Army during the World War I.
