Kathmandu and Pokhara Tour

Kathmandu is the capital city and the most populous city of Nepal. It lies in the hilly region & it is
surrounded by mountains. It lies at an elevation of 4,344 feet from the Sea Level. The term ‘Kathmandu’ is
comprised of two words: Kath and Mandap. Kath refers to wood, whereas Madap refers to the temple.
Kathmandu is the business and commercial hub of Nepal. It is full of historic sites, ancient temples, shrines,
and fascinating villages. It is rich in architecture, culture, and rituals. It is famous for its religious monuments,
Various temples, monasteries, stupas, and local foods. The climate of Kathmandu is supposed to be the
best climate in South Asia. Pashupatinath Temple, Kathmandu Durbar Square, Boudhanath Stupa and
Swoyambhunath Stupa are some of the attractions of the City which are listed as the UNESCO Heritage
Sites
Pokhara is the second largest city in Nepal, which is supposed to be the tourism capital of Nepal. It is rich
in natural beauties with lakes, mountains, gorges, rivers, caves, temples, and greenery. Pokhara is best
known for the stunning view of the Annapurna range.  It is the gateway to Annapurna Circuit. The city has
a humid subtropical climate. It is around 200 kilometers away from Kathmandu. By road, it takes around 7
hours and only 25 minutes by air.

Pashupatinath Temple is one of the 8 UNESCO World Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley. It is the holiest and largest shrine for Hindus. The religious hub of 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva), and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) are located 3km northwest of Kathmandu on the banks of Bagmati River.

DAY 06:VISIT SARANGKOT & ENJOY THE POKHARA CITY TOUR

Five kilometers from Pokhara, Sarangkot is a beautiful hilltop overlooking the city and
Phewa lake. It allured tourists with its mesmerizing sunset and sunrise views. Located at
an altitude of 1600 meters, it offers a view of some of the world’s highest mountains
Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), Annapurna (8, 091 m), Macchapucchare (6,997 m), Manasalu
(8,163 m). When at Saranngkot, tourists could enjoy paragliding gliding over the
mountainous terrains and witnessing the beautiful landscape. A fair amount of walking is
required to reach Sarangkot, therefore, it is suggested to wear comfortable shoes.

Manakamana Temple

Manakamana temple is just 10 minutes of cable car ride from the bottom station called
Kurintar. Manakamana is believed to be the goddess for fulfilling our wishes. It is 104 KM
