MALAYSIA & SINGAPORE TOUR

Malaysia is one of the Southeast Asian countries, which does have the federal constitutional monarchy consisting of thirteen states and three federal territories, separated by the South China Sea into two regions: Peninsular Malaysia and Borneo’s East Malaysia. Peninsular Malaysia shares a land and naval border with Thailand and oceanic borders with Singapore, Vietnam, and Indonesia. East Malaysia shares land and maritime borders with Brunei and Indonesia, and a maritime border with the Philippines and Vietnam.
It’s known for its beaches, rainforests and mix of Malay, Chinese, Indian and European cultural influences. Malaysia is the 66th largest country by total land area, with a land area of 329,613 km2.

The country is multi-ethnic and multicultural, which has a significant effect on its politics. About half of the population is ethnically Malay, with minorities of Chinese, Indians, and indigenous peoples. The country’s official language is Malaysian Malay, a standard form of the Malay language. English remains an active second language. Islam is the country’s established religion, the constitution grants freedom of religion to non-Muslims. The Major sources of Malaysian economy are science, tourism, commerce and medical tourism.

Kuala Lumpur is the capital of Malaysia. It is one of the fastest growing cities in Asia and the largest city in Malaysia, covering an area of 243 km2. The city serves as the cultural, financial, and economic centre of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur has undergone rapid development in recent decades and is home to the tallest twin buildings in the world, the Petronas Towers, which have since become an iconic symbol of Malaysian development. Kuala Lumpur is one of the leading cities in the world for tourism and shopping, the 6th most-visited city in the world in 2019. The city has three of the world’s ten largest shopping malls.

Singapore is one of the Southeast Asian Countries, which is officially called the Republic of Singapore. It is a sovereign island state neighbouring to Malaysia to the North and Indonesia to the South, East and West. Singapore has a tropical rainforest climate. Singapore has four official languages: English, Malay, Mandarin, and Tamil. English is the lingua franca and numerous public services are available only in English. Multi-racialism is protected in the constitution and continues to shape national policies in education, housing, and politics. 31.1% of the population of citizens and permanent residents are Buddhist, 18.9 % Christian, 15.6 % Muslim (predominantly Sunni), 8.8 % Taoist, 5% Hindu, and 20% identify as having no religion.

Singapore was once one of the federations of Malaysia. However, Singapore became an independent sovereign country in 1965 under the leadership of Lee Quan Yew. After early years of turmoil whilst lacking natural resources and a neighbourhood, the nation rapidly developed to become one of the Four Asian Tigers based on international trade and economic globalisation, integrating itself within the world economy through free trade with minimal-to-no trade barriers or tariffs, export-oriented industrialisation, and the large accumulation of received foreign direct investments, foreign-exchange reserves, and assets held by sovereign wealth funds. Tourism is a major industry and contributor to the Singaporean economy
